Gratitudes 1/7/14

"Gratitude is the single most important ingredient to living a successful and fulfilled life." ~ Jack Canfield

Today I am grate*full...

1. that I had the day off.

2. that John, Melanie, and I had fun playing games. We played "Pass the Pigs" and "Nab-It." Nab-It is kind of like Scrabble and we got it for Christmas. It was fun and Melanie really held her own (which is pretty amazing...she is only five. Sometimes even I forget that.)

3. for our heat and the heating assistance we get through the New York State Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program. It is crazy cold outside today and I'm grateful that we have a nice warm house, although we did have to turn our heat up. Our house is better insulated than the others on our street (we could tell this last weekend when ours had more snow on the roof, indicating that the heat wasn't escaping), so we knew it was cold when it was even chilly in our house.

4. that my keyboard works again thanks to new batteries.

5. that Rachael (my 4-month-old) said mama for the first time today.

Love~
Elizabeth

  1. Hmm, I typed out a comment but it doesn't look like it went through. Apologies if this ends up being a double post :-)

    Today I am grateful:

    1. Both cars fit in the garage.

    2. The Chinese place near our neighborhood was open today and my husband picked up dinner.

    3. My headache finally went away.

    4. My husband and kids are washing dishes.

    5. The temperature was positive today (although still below freezing)
